By far, my favourite country to holiday in is the USA… We’re frequent visitors of the USA and we visit usually about twice a year. I love being able to visit somewhere vastly different from the UK, but that also comes with all the conveniences of home. That’s not to say I don’t love my far flung destinations (we’ve visited our fair share!) but the State will always be a firm favourite when it comes to booking holidays.
So where are my favourite places?
New York
Of course. My favourite place on earth, it’s the best city in the world. There’s nowhere else like it, and I love it there so much. It’s a city to get lost in, to explore, to eat in, to party in. It honestly has everything. I’ve been to the city so many times, and yet we always find something new to see or do. And there’s always some beautiful avenue or street to photograph! There are even companies who offer private jet transportation to and from NYC, which might be good if you really want to splurge!
Las Vegas
Not everyone’s cup of tea (and I get it!) – but we love it. We visit every summer, and we always have so much fun. Why do I love Vegas? It’s not trying to be anything it’s not. The tackiness, the crassness – they get it, they know it, and you just roll with it. But it’s not all tacky – there are so many wonderful restaurants to try, shows to watch, bars to drink at. In the same ilk as New York, you can keep discovering new things, even on your tenth visit!
Seattle
I visited Seattle for the first time last year and fell head over heels for the city. The laid back vibe, the mountains nearby, the sea, the lakes, the cool cafes and restaurants… take me back! I feel like Seattle is a totally underrated west-coast city (and gets overshadowed by San Fran quite often) but I absolutely loved it. You can even do whale watching in the area – which was a major bucket list goal for me!
