Weddings are fantastic events for everyone. They are a lot of fun. It is always good to be able to catch up with friends and family, eat nice food and enjoy a dance. Plus, of course, you get the chance to dress up. Weddings offer you the opportunity to treat yourself to something special, an outfit that you would not otherwise be able to wear.
If you are feeling brave and really want to stand out from the rest of the guests, all you need to do is to read on. Below we have put together some wedding guest outfit ideas that have a bit of a twist.
A jumpsuit
Right now, jumpsuits are once again fashionable. Retailers like Fashion World are offering them in a huge range of colours, cuts, and materials. Provided you choose one that is high quality and cut to flatter your figure you can look great in one. You just need to pair your jumpsuit with a lightweight jacket, a nice dressy belt and jewellery to make it smart enough to wear to a wedding. In the evening, you can shed the jacket and enjoy a dance.
A shorts suit
For an outdoor wedding, a shorts suit can work really well, especially if the ceremony is being held on the beach. But, if you pair it with a nice pair of high heels and the right hat, you could even wear it to a regular wedding. As you can see here, that is exactly what Kate Moss did and she looked fantastic. So, don´t just dismiss the idea, take a look and consider trying out this style of outfit yourself.
Wear black
If you look particularly good in black, don´t be afraid to wear it to a wedding. It is very flattering and slimming. You may not want to go the whole hog and dress from head to toe in black, but you can if you want to.
The Duchess of Cambridge did it in 2011 and she looked great. Just be sure to choose luxury fabrics and to dress your outfit up a bit with glamorous accessories.
An Indian wedding outfit
Indian guests dress beautifully for weddings. The fabrics used are always rich and luxurious and the dresses are always extremely well made and highly tailored. They are truly special outfits. If you are lucky enough to live somewhere it is easy to get your hands on a properly made kurta or lehenga, try a few on. The shop assistant will be able to advise you about which ones are likely to look best on you.
In fact, looking at what people wear to weddings in other parts of the world is a great way to get inspiration. If you know a good seamstress or tailor you can potentially have a truly unique wedding outfit created for you.
