With Mother’s Day right around the corner (the 31st March) it’s time to start thinking about gifts! Mother’s Day is a chance to treat your Mum to something special, and it’s always nice to find something that’ll put a smile on their face. Whether it’s a bouquet of flowers, or chocolate hampers – here are a few of my favourite ideas:
A bouquet of flowers
A classic choice, but flowers are a gorgeous gift and never fail to make my Mum smile. I find around Mother’s Day there are loads of beautiful bouquets with gorgeous bright colours, so I try and find one that is full of colour and feels really ‘spring vibes’. I also love Lilies too – I think Lilies are a beautiful choice no matter what time of the year it is.
There aren’t many people who would turn down chocolate, and delicious chocolate hampers make an amazing Mother’s Day gift. It’s actually been scientifically proven that chocolate makes people happy (I”m sure I read that somewhere!) so there has never been a better reason to grab a box of chocolate for someone you love – especially your Mum! Some whiskey hampers even have the choice to pair in some alcohol too – which is a bonus! I used to buy my Mum a little bag of Thorntons truffles every Mother’s Day with my pocket money, so I think it’s cute you can buy the adult version in the form of a much bigger hamper!
I bought some Biscuiteers biscuits for some friends when they got engaged last year and apparently they were just the most beautiful biscuits ever. So I’m pretty convinced on them as a brand, and they have some lovely designs and biscuits for Mother’s Day at the moment. The biscuits are tasty and delicious, and they’re iced with gorgeous patterns too.
If you’re good at planning ahead, or if you can grab a last minute deal, event tickets are a lovely Mother’s Day gift. It means you can spend some quality time with your Mum, and also make some memories too. Theatre tickets are always great, west-end ticket are fab, especially if you lie near London, or a big city.
